Fast – close - sharp: The new SkyHawk 3.0 for nature lovers and birdwatchers

Oct 01, 2013

Birdwatchers and nature lovers demand reliable optics. They are essential equipment for any trip outdoors. Steiner has been working closely with birdwatchers and naturalists for many years to design and manufacture optics for this specialized need. The result is the new Steiner SkyHawk 3.0.

Featuring five models, the Steiner SkyHawk 3.0 series offers outstanding optical performance and functionality. Through a combination of high-quality glass and unique coatings, the optical performance was improved significantly. Birdwatching and observing nature and its beauty is now more enjoyable and dramatic.

The field of view was increased to 133 meters making it easier and quicker to spot birds and animals. Steiner perfected the Distance-Control-System in its Discovery Series of birding binoculars and it is also available in the SkyHawk 3.0 series. By presetting of the distance, this system guarantees a faster recognition. The Fast-Close-Focus lets you focus on objects as close as 2 meter within seconds with only one turn of the focusing wheel. The patented twist-Up Eyecups easily adjust for optimal exit pupil distance to ensure a full field of view – even for spectacle wearers.

The legendary Steiner ruggedness can be found in the new Steiner SkyHawk 3.0 series. The binoculars are waterproof to up to 3 meters due to the nitrogen pressure system that uses a patented 2-way-valve technology to prevent the formation of condensation and internal fogging. You will always have clear sight for a reliable use even in tropical climes. The highly impact-resistant housing material and rugged construction make the SkyHawk 3.0 models extremely shock resistant and versatile.

The five Steiner SkyHawk 3.0 models are now obtainable at specialist retailers. Included in the delivery is a soft carrying case, a neoprene carrying strap, objective covers and a rain protection cap.
